Suzanne Schwing Portrait

As a member of Compass Plus and a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®, Suzanne Schwing brings a specialized depth of expertise and empathy to every real estate transaction. Her work with Compass Plus is fueled by a profound commitment to seniors and their families, a passion born from her own personal experience as a family caregiver. Through that experience, Suzanne understands that major life transitions are about so much more than just a property — They are about honoring a legacy and ensuring long-term peace of mind.

Suzanne is particularly attuned to the needs of families facing Alzheimer's and the challenges of long-distance caregiving, having navigated the complexities of managing her father's dementia care in California and her mother's transition to assisted living in Florida, all while Suzanne herself continued to be based in New York City. Knowing that building a strong team is crucial to supporting families as they make these lifestyle changes, Suzanne leverages the national
presence of Compass and the vast resources available to her as a CSA to the fullest advantage of her clients. This combined network is a major benefit for those embarking on both local and long-distance care decisions and relocations, providing Suzanne's clients with a seamless experience across the country.

Areas of Expertise:
● Senior housing transitions and Alzheimer's-related family decisions
● Long-distance and multi-state caregiving coordination
● Guidance on accessibility features and in-home support resources for aging in place
● Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Riverdale real estate
● National relocation support through the Compass network

Suzanne joined Compass in 2017, having already spent 35 years in the professional performing arts, in which she remains active as a classical singer and actor. This dual career is her greatest strength, as the high-level professionalism, discipline, and intense collaboration required to succeed on the world's most prestigious stages are the very same tools she uses to advocate for her real estate clients.

Suzanne began her professional training by earning a Diploma in Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), and subsequently earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Boston University and a Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music. She performs regularly at Carnegie Hall and at Lincoln Center, and has appeared on several concert stages in Europe and Japan, as well as on numerous commercial recordings. Beyond the stage, she serves as a Shakespeare coach and has previously served on the boards of International House New York and the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA).

A New Yorker since 1999, Suzanne is a long-time resident of the beautiful upper Manhattan neighborhood of Hudson Heights. She maintains deep ties to the creative community through her memberships in Actors' Equity, AGMA, and SAG-AFTRA, most recently representing AGMA as a member of the 2026 Negotiating Committee for the New York Philharmonic Chorus.

Suzanne believes that real estate, much like a great performance, requires heart, precision, and a personal touch — and she would be honored to provide the dedicated, diligent service you and your family deserve as you look toward the best possible future.
