Ivan Gobern Portrait

Hello! I’m Ivan Gobern, and I believe real estate is never just about a property. It’s about lifestyle, timing, relationships, and helping people move into their next chapter with confidence.

Originally from New England, I’ve lived and worked in some of the country’s most dynamic cities, from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco, before bringing my perspective and experience to the Triangle’s luxury real estate market. My family’s Wake County roots date back to the 1950s, and I feel deeply connected to the communities, neighborhoods, and people that make this region such an extraordinary place to call home.

Before real estate, I spent more than four decades advocating for older adults and families across the country. With a degree in gerontology and a Certified Senior Advisor designation, I bring a thoughtful, highly personal approach to clients navigating major life transitions, whether that means relocating, right-sizing, purchasing new construction, selling a legacy property, or finding the luxury home that fits what comes next.

My real estate practice is built on trusted relationships, concierge-level service, and more than a decade of five-star client experiences. I’m hands-on, detail-driven, and deeply committed to meeting clients exactly where they are, then guiding them forward with clarity, optimism, discretion, and care. With a degree in gerontology and the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® credential, I bring a thoughtful, informed perspective to clients navigating later-life moves, family transitions, right-sizing, and legacy property decisions.

When I’m not helping clients make their next move, you’ll often find me road cycling, kayaking, gardening, renovating my home, volunteering, fundraising for nonprofit organizations, planning a mountain or beach weekend, spending time with family and friends, or slowing down with my dog, Al'e.
